Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
- Matthew 24: 4-8

REMINDER TO SELF:

Happening now...
  • False prophets
  • Wars and rumors of wars
  • Nation versus nation
  • Kingdom versus kingdom
  • Famines, earthquakes, pestilences

Manasseh and Ephraim

Joseph named his older son Manasseh,[a] for he said, “God has made me forget all my troubles and everyone in my father’s family.” Joseph named his second son Ephraim, for he said, “God has made me fruitful in this land of my grief.”
- Genesis 41: 51-52

Will God also make me forget all my trouble -- personal and relational?

Will God make me fruitful in my suffering... in my struggle?

Father God, why am I even struggling again with the father issue? What is it within my heart still that makes it filthy and ugly?

"Unforgiveness," God whispered.
Then help me to forgive, God, and to know that You really are in control.
